Stringer joins Preferred Hospice
Farmington Press - 1/14/2017
Mallory Stringer has joined Preferred Hospice of Farmington as a student practitioner as she works to complete her Masters of Social Work with a Graduate Degree Minor in Gerontology through the University of Missouri in Columbia's distance education program.
"Not very many social work or nursing students really know about hospice so we are pleased to have Mallory with us," said Cindy Cole, director of Clinical Services for Preferred Hospice. "We want to cultivate her love for hospice."
In 2014, Stringer began working on a Master's Degree in Social Work. This has led her now doing her practicum as a social work intern at Preferred Hospice. Laurie Black, a Preferred Hospice Social Worker, will be working closely with Stringer.
Stringer is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and works part-time doing home studies for potential foster parents through Missouri Baptist Children's Home.
